GoogEdit Editing Commands
GoogEdit has special text commands you can type into the input box, along with your word lists. They provide a few extra functions, and can help in creating and managing AdWord groups. Each command is placed on its own line, with text following (depending on the command):
|
>> <text> – Adds the text to the end of each entry in the list, before further processing. For instance, >> 2004 will add the string ‘2004′ to all entries.
- - <text> – Removes the text from each entry in the list, wherever it appears. For instance, - - dog removes the text ‘dog’ from where it appears in each entry. ## (no text needed) Removes all digits from the list. ~ ~ (two tilde characters – no text needed) Turns off the Google editing (conversion to phrase and exact match text). Useful to format text without creating the final AdWords result. && <text> Combines each word in the text line with all other lines’ entries, creating all AdWord combinations. Here’s some examples of input lines, and output (without Google formatting): |
